ABOUT

Ann Day

Architect

My interest in architecture started after a trip to England in High School where I gained an appreciation for early architecture and the art of building design. I always had an interest in drawing and art but realized then that architecture was my true passion.

I pursued my education in architecture at Roger Williams University and received my Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1995 with a minor in Music. During that time I spent my summers gaining valuable experience doing architectural drafting at the U.S. Coast Guard and working for an architect in Newport, Rhode Island.

After graduating, I began my professional career at Sapienza & Lessig Architects & Planners in West Haven, Connecticut on projects that included municipal buildings, schools, office and retail spaces, Streetscaping and residential design. I then went on to work in Greenwich, Connecticut for LRJA Architects and Shoreline Design Group working on high end residential renovations and additions, interiors, and new construction including both residential and commercial properties.

In 2005 I branched out on my own working on residential and light commercial projects, additions, renovations, kitchens, baths, interiors and cabinetry. I have lived in Fairfield County for over 18 years and I have a great understanding of the people and the architecture of the area.

As well as other companies, I work with New England Artisans' Remodeling & Design Group on many projects. They are a full service construction company handling all aspects of construction. We use a design/build approach to our projects which enables the project to be efficient and well managed. Many of our collaborative projects can be viewed on houzz.
